And we’re back! After a long ’silence’ due to much rehearsing and touring, the Live Tropical Fish are back again with Aquarium and with it a lot of good music that we want to share with you!
Just for this month, the show has no talking, just many hidden gems, like the first song: Garvey’s Strut, a track from the 1970’s recording Soul of Africa by Hal Singer and Jef Gilson, or there’s Daahoud, taken from a live concert by Clifford Brown and the Black Star Ensemble, recorded June 26, 1976 at The Grand Opera House Wilmington, Delaware. We also have Freddie Hubbard with the 1979 track Love Connection featuring Stanley Clark on bass, Chick Corea on keys and Chester Thompson on drums. Henry Franklin plays Cosmos Dwellers, taken from his 1977 album Tribal Dance and Art Farmer has Green Witch from the album A Sleeping Bee (1974). There’s two tracks by The LaMont Johnson Sextette album Aces, plus a great track in 1978 by Jeff Lorber Fusion from the album Soft Space.
