It’s time for the second installment in the most soulful of shows. Whilst other channels might highlight the suave, sophisticated nature of their musical offerings, be in no doubt that the 24 tracks we present are heartfelt, passionate pieces of music that are designed to both entertain and relax. As will always be the case in this series, there’ll be no DJ interuptus either – the message is just found in the music.

Representing the ladies this time round are: Patrice Rushen, Alicia Keys, Teena Marie, Vanessa Williams, Sheree Brown and Larisa Dolina. For the chaps, think: Maxwell, Will Downing, Frank McComb, Herbie Hancock, Norman Connors, Roy Ayers and Jeff Lorber. For some group therapy, we look to: New York City, Isley Jasper Isley, The Gap Band. Touch Of New York, Con Funk Shun and Breakwater.
