Club Classics
Although Club Classics could mean tracks from at least four decades, in this particular edition the early 80’s seem to be getting the love alongside three less frantic cuts from the 70’s. Proving that it wasn’t all 120 BPM+ back then, Slave, Tommy Stewart and Linda Clifford provide a perfect blend of soul and funk. In the 80’s, New Jersey Connection provide several of those one-hit wonders, with their excellent ‘Love Don’t Come Easy’. Similarly, there’s great grooves’ from Active Force, Unique, Garfield Fleming and the Roy Ayers produced monster cut from the Eighties Ladies. Other tracks come from Raw Silk, who were responsible for several sizeable club tracks at the time and finally, the versatile George Duke with ‘Reach Out’.
