August 22 was a sad day when Nick Ashford passed – one half of the fine songwriting and artist duo Ashford & Simpson. Here then to celebrate and acknowledge his life is a twelve track ‘Selection’ which whilst highlighting their work as artists barely touches the surface of the group’s influence over four decades. The music here stems generally from a considered ‘golden period’ between 1973 -1984 and sees tracks taken from eight albums. Coming in at sixty-six minutes, download and enjoy the wonderful vocal and writing talents of Nick and Valerie. The music lives on, and for that we should be thankful.
