Extra Inches: The Music of Donny and Lalah Hathaway
Twelve tracks are presented here as we take a look back at the songs of the great man, Donny Hathaway and his wonderfully talented daughter, Lalah.
Starting with The Ghetto from Donny’s debut album Everything Is Everything in 1970, a blend of tracks follow through a 38 year period, with all of his studio albums represented and the majority of Lalah’s too; from her debut set in 1990 through to her excellent Self Portrait in 2008.
As is often he case, it’s always a case of just what to leave out. For the moment though, we hope you enjoy listening to some of the greatest soul music ever made.
