Money, what’s that? Even if I were able to be paid to produce this show it wouldn’t be necessary. This is a labour of love. Earth, Wind and Fire – my favourite band of all time. What’s strange though is that it took me so long to get round to recording Extra Inches: The Music Of Earth, Wind & Fire Vol.1, but now it’s here you’ll notice that many of the tracks are not the usual suspects. Thankfully we don’t have label restraints when compiling any of our podcasts, so when we produce a show such as this, we can dig deep. In this case their early music with Warner Bros and Stax is fully evident alongside many of the tracks that guaranteed their place in music history. Twelve tracks, sixty minutes of incredible music.
