Well, it might have taken two years to follow up Volume 1 but who’s counting? What we can be sure of though is that if you liked the first sixty minutes then you’ll feel very at home with the second edition. SOLAR (Sound Of Los Angeles Records) – a label with a relatively small roster of artists, so expect to hear more from Shalamar, The Whispers, Midnight Star, Collage, Lakeside and Dynasty. It had me groovin’ in the late 70’s and well into the 80’s and funnily enough even now in 2011 I felt myself testing the carpet in Studio Two! A sight to behold. Enjoy! [BH]
