It’s a new year and there’s new music in abundance.
We’ve new albums from the Robert Glasper Experiment, Cecilia Stalin, Gregory Porter and Esperanza Spalding. A choice cut from new British songstress Emma Smith – only 21 years old but already a revelation. There’s also a proper big tune from musician and producer Si Tew and a Brazilian classic from Luis Eca. To cap it all off there’s a tasty offering from the queen of scat – Anita O’Day.
All in all a fine collection of quality tunes to continue the new year’s musical offerings in fine style.
