FOLDEDSPACE – 8th February 2017

I can’t believe the abundance of quality tunage that has graced us in this new year. Mighty releases from polymath trumpet player Nicholas Payton, The Peter Franks Group, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Nate Smith, Roberto Occhipinti and many more. Thundercat is always good value for money. A track from his new release, ‘Drunk’, gets a run out in today’s proceedings, along with a new soul voice from NYC, Gabriel Garzon-Montana, who’s LP Jardin is leaving people stunned by its depth of soulfulness and quality. We round off with two brilliant Brazilian re-issues from Piri and Victor Assis-Brasil courtesy of Far Out Records.
