The dog days of summer find me seeking some relief, but I still haven’t gotten quite enough of the season! So, this month’s selection is inspired by what a warm autumn evening should feel like; not too hot, not too cool. The show starts off with sweet vocals from Esperanza Spalding, and continues with a little bit of head-nodding material from the Menahan Street Band. From there, it’s a pretty consistent groove: Music from D’Angelo, Abebe Stafford, Bayorhythym and Trombone Shorty, plus new music from the soundtrack of “The L Word, Season 3″ (of all places!) closes the show out. All in all, two hours of good, good music!
