Origin Records Showcase – 14th February, 2017

Founded in Seattle, Washington by drummer John Bishop in 1997, Origin Records is one of the great independent jazz and classical music record labels. Along with fellow musician Matt Jorgensen, Origin expanded its roster of musicians and in 2002 added the label OA2 and in 2008, Origin Classical. In 2009, Origin was named JazzWeek’s Label of the Year.

In this, our first Origin Records Showcase, Dr. Brad Stone serves up ten reasons to make your ears smile: Joe Locke, Clarence Penn, Marc Seales & The David Friesen Circle 3 Trio are just four examples of how one hour of music should sound. Further #ExcellentBehaviour we feel.

Your feedback is always welcome. Please also be sure to click the album titles in the playlist for iTunes purchase links of the all the good stuff that lies within.

We hope you enjoy another unique presentation from SoulandJazz.com.
