The Hurst Selection limbers up for the break with extra gusto as classic music comes from Linda Williams, René & Angela and Brenda Russell. There’s 4 From one of the soul greats of the last fifteen years: Rahsaan Patterson, a welcome return from Vanessa Williams, another track from the lovely Makeda, an overlooked gem from Chante Moore and some Blue-Eyed Soul from Jimmy Messina, Boz Scaggs and Daryl Hall.

In Hour Two, on the Jazzier Side Of Life, there’s more than a dash of Latin influence with music from Kenia, Sabrina Malheiros and Márcio Local. Also, Macedoinan grooves come from Vladimir Četkar, there’s the soulful, yet jazz-fused sound of Impromp2, classics from Level 42, Ramsey Lewis, Judy Roberts, Blue Feather and Groove Collective, plus new tunes from Trevor & Lisa, Marcus Johnson and Down To The Bone.
