The Jazz 60 returns with a thirteen track journey across continents. First off is the opening track from the Alex Malheiros & Banda Utopia CD: ‘Serenity’, followed seamlessly by daughter Sabrina Malheiros with the Nicola Conte Re-work of Brisa Mar. Two tracks are on offer in this edition from the excellent Brazilian Groove Band from their latest set ‘Anatomy of Groove’ as indeed are two tracks from The Modern Sound of Nicola Conte: featured here are gems from Marco Di Marco and from the man himself with his Jazz Combo. Other beauties include music from John Beasley, Auteur Jazz, France’s Uptown Funk Empire, Four80East and two from the Schema stable: S-Tone Inc. with the Bossa Mix of ‘Stormy’ and Lorenzo Tucci with his version of ‘Tropicola’. A final special mention must got to Timo Lassy who alongside José James has produced one of the tracks of 2009 – ‘Ya Dig’. You have been warned!
