Legendary saxophonist Brandford Marsalis comes from a dynasty of musicians that include Wynton, Jason and Delfayo. We speak to him about the growing up in New Orleans, working with the great Art Blakey, and his latest release in collaboration with the incomparable Kurt Elling. There's new music from Marquis Hill, Killiam Shakespeare, SouthWes Terminal and The Dangerfeel Newbies with Daz-I-Kue on the mix. There's also a sample of the latest comp' from Dean Rudland called Celestial Blues which showcases music that has influenced Kamasi Washington.
