Far Out Recordings was founded in 1994 by London DJ and record producer Joe Davis. His passion for Brazilian music took him to Brazil where his enthusiasm for record collecting led him to some of his musical heroes and thus, friendships were cemented, the vibes recorded and the label was born."

Tony Minvielle described putting this show together as a labour of love. From 1979 to the present day, and with music from Azymuth, Sabrina Malheiros, Leo Gandelman, Joyce Moreno and Arthur Verocai to name just 5 of the twelve artist featured, it's easy to hear exactly why. JAZZ LOGO reversedIn 2012 Japan launched their 1,000 Yen Jazz re-issues series. This collectable range now spans over 300 classic & rare jazz albums, with sales of over 600,000 units to date. The first 100 releases, by artists such as Charles Mingus and The Modern Jazz Quartet are now available in their original Japanese packaging. Allow Mike Chadwick to introduce you to the emerging nature of the label as it developed its' sound moving from the 50s into the 60s.
