In the meantime, here’s some more details about the show:
Blue Note artist Otis Brown III is one of the most in demand jazz drummers of the moment. Judging by his collaborations with Glasper, Bilal, Parlato, Strickland, and many others, it goes without saying that right about now he is sitting in the musical sweet spot. I caught up with him at this year's Art Of Cool festival in Durham, North Carolina where we talked about his career, the Revive-Music family, and his latest LP on Blue Note Records: ‘The Thought Of You’.
We also feature great new music from Brainfeeder's Jameszoo, the new project from UK Pianist Nikki Yeoh, Brisbane soulboy Jordan Rakei and jazz legend Duane Eubanks.
We wax Cuban courtesy of Jane Bunnett (feat. Dayme Arocena) and also get into the Brazilian cultural headspace courtesy of a re-issue of an Azymuth classic. To cap it off we revisit the new LP from the Amp Trio’s Addison Frei and dip into new business from Toronto trio BadBadNotGood.
