As always when choosing tracks for this show the selection of quality music is endless and it gets harder and harder to know just what to include!
Early in proceedings we feature jazz vocalist, and new signing to Schema, Joyce Elaine Yuille, with a track from her fine Welcome to my World LP. Charanee Wade and Lauren Desberg also provide some great new music from their respective releases. Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2014 and Tomorrows Warrior Moses Boyd is joined by saxophonist Binker Golding on their new Gearbox records LP Dem Ones which we also feature.
I would class Eska as one of the voices of our age and I managed to catch up with her for a chat at this year's Cheltenham Jazz Festival. That interview comes next month but in the meantime we bring you one of the standout tracks on her new self-titled LP.
On the interview tip we talk to Snarky Puppy/Funk Apostles keyboardist Cory Henry about his latest projects and also to soul sensation Jarrod Lawson about his debut LP. If that wasn't enough, new business comes from West Coast sax colossus Kamasi Washington, The Rebirth, Lucas Arruda, Eliane Elias, Bluey, and Ben Williams.
