Blue Note Records Showcase – Hard Bop & Beyond

Blue Note Records Showcase

Hard Bop & Beyond

An introduction to Blue Note Records seems hardly necessary. Formed in 1939 by Alfred Lion & Max Margulis, the label is resurgent under new label head Don Was & for over 70 years still continues to remain pivotal in all matters jazz.

blueNoteHard Bop & Beyond is the title of this, our next Blue Note Records Showcase. Mike Chadwick is spoilt for choice as he sets about delivering five hard-bop gems, two iconic compositions and one “jaw-droppingly beautiful ballad”. He’s not wrong either.

Your feedback is always welcome and we hope you enjoy another unique presentation from SoulandJazz.com.
