Milestone Records is a legendary record label. Originally formed in NYC in 1966 by Orrin Keepnews & Dick Katz, it’s been home to some of the jazz great: Rollins, Tyner, Henderson & Brazilian legends Azymuth.
Not before time, the first Milestone Showcase is here – wound up & ready to play. Brian Hurst serves up 9 beauties from the mid-70s through until the late 80s – in amongst it, solo music from the three men that collectively make up Azymuth: José Roberto Bertrami. Ivan Conti. Alex Malheiros. Terrific stuff.
