November calls, Xmas looms, and what a month for music it is.
This edition of FOLDEDSPACE features new material from the exciting discovery that is Emily Saunders, plus Eliane Elias, Eric Roberson, and the sublime Deborah Jordan. There’s a big tune from the Colman Brothers who are signed to Dom Servini’s WAH WAH 45’s – a label that always delivers. There’s two inspiring little numbers from NYC based Jesse Fischer & Soul Cycle – one featuring my lady of the moment Gretchen Parlato – and some melt in the mouth ethereal vocals from UK based Sam Peacock. All in all, like the proverbial tin of Quality Street candy, there’s something for everyone. In fact, if truth be told, there’s more quality tunes than pairs of overstretched hot-pants at a 70’s theme night.
