Jazz 60: 22nd October 2010
The Jazz 60 is back doing pretty much what it says in the title: sixty minutes of Jazz flavours, which this time round are presented by Mr. B. Hurst. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it.
Look forward then to hearing new music from Fourplay’s forthcoming album Let’s Touch The Sky, Latin vibes from Randy Skinner, Luisito Qunitero, Marcus Valle, with a track from his excellent new album Estática, and likewise The Spanish Harlem Orchestra . From the UK, we have Nectareen, from the Nederlands: Rik Mol and let us not forget one of the hottest singers in NYC right now: Gregory Porter. Other tunes come courtesy of Fo/Mo/Deep, with their unusual take on Expansions, plus there’s the Jeff Lorber Fusion and Wonk
Eleven tracks in total, with the emphasis very firmly placed on 2010.
Stereo, not stereotypical™
Enjoy!
