Finally! Ken Irwin joins the team at SoulandJazz.com to deliver a new two-hour weekly show, Jazz Outpost, featuring what’s happening in the world of creative improvised music today, whilst looking back at the great heritage of Jazz and African American music across nine decades.
With Yusef Lateef as his faculty sponsor, Ken Irwin earned his degree in “Ethnomusicology of African-American Music” at UMass in Amherst 2002, and has been an active broadcaster and announcer since 1975. He is happiest in his studio producing great programming and listening to some outstanding music, surrounded by thousands of his CD’s and LP’s. We’re delighted he’s on board.
Stereo, not stereotypical®
Enjoy!
